Gourmet Cube Ice Makers & Bin
Ice-O-Matic's range of Bistro (Or Gourmet) Cubes are amongst the most popular type of ice in the industry.
Not to be confused with 'finger ice' that is hollow on the inside meaning the surrounding water melts it from the outside and inside. With the superior quality Gourmet Ice, each Cube is individually produced layer by layer, meaning it is a solid cube, with only it's exterior exposed to the surrounding water. Vertical Spray technology ensures that only the cleanest water freezes and impure water goes to waste - leaving your diners with great tasting, crystal clear ice that lasts.
Modular Full & Half Cube Ice Makers
Ice-O-Matic have a large selection of modular Ice makers. The process of ordering is simple, basically select the machine with the required daily ice production, and then select an ice bin that has enough ice to cater for your busiest peak times of year.
These are available in either slimline (565mm wide) or standard size (768mm wide). All machines are available to be ordered as either Full cube, or half cube.
The Ice makers are really simple to use, highly reliable and produce premium quality ice. All machines come with industry leading features such as hygienically food safe 'food zone' and dual exhaust for more flexible choice on where the machine can be sited.
The Right Ice
Essentially, there are six main types of ice (options include individual shot style, cubes, half cubes, nugget or grande ice) and depending on the overall drinks mix offered to guests, will determine which machines will provide what an establishment needs.
Shot Style
Cube size: 29.5 (D) x 30.5 (H) mm
Uniquely thimble-shaped and crystal clear, the ‘Shot’ (or Bistro) cube ice is slow melting, tasteless – the best there is to add quality and sparkle to refined spirits.
Grande Cube
Cube size: 22 (W) x 29 (D) x 31 (W) mm
Specially designed for restaurants, lounges, clubs and bars looking for the perfect ice to complement the perfect cocktail.
Full Cube Style
Cube size: 22 (W) x 22 (D) x 22 (H) mm
The perfect complement to any cocktail or beverage.. This is the most popular choice for large volume applications like bagging and bulk cooling.
Half Cube Style
Ice Cube size: 10 (W) x 22 (D) x 22 (H) mm
This smaller, easier to handle ice is perfect for blended drinks due to its ability to break down and create a smoother finish.
Flake
Flake Size - Varies (flakes)
Flake ice is ideal for presentation and preservation of seafood, produce and perishable food items.
Nugget
Nugget Ice size: 12.7 (H) x 9.55 (D)mm
Adding perfection to any fountain drink, smoothie or refreshing beverage, this highly desired nugget ice is the soft, chewable, longer-lasting ice.
